Amplifying Voices. Building Solidarity.

Racial Justice Network is a movement of advocates, organisers, and allies dedicated to changing systemic racism from the ground up.

Join the strategy retreat

As anti-migrant rhetoric gains political traction and racialised communities face rising attacks across Australia, the need for a unified, collective response has never been more urgent.

To counter these growing harms against racialised communities and the wider public, and respond to the growing momentum within racialised communities, Democracy in Colour has convened a vital coalition of organisations and community advocates to deliver a movement-wide gathering in Naarm/ Melbourne on July 25–26, 2026.

This inaugural Racial Justice Network (RJN) Strategy Retreat brings together a broad ecosystem of impacted communities and civil society organisations. By bringing together First Nations, Multicultural, Union, Faith, Climate and Rights groups, this gathering offers a rare opportunity to connect, share experiences, and develop strategies. Together, we will foster deep alignment and drive a powerful, collaborative approach to anti-racism across the continent.

The primary goal of this strategy retreat is to set the foundation for a sustained nationwide Racial Justice Network to convene, strategise and coordinate actions/campaigns across the movement for justice.
